Just got some 35’s to upgrade from my stock 31’s on stock rims and no lift, and now I’m not entirely sure they’ll fit. I’ve got the high fender and bumper clearance, but should I get spacers as well. And if so, what size? Or skip that route entirely and get offset wheels?
Welcome to JK Forum. Good knowledgeable - friendly - not shy with opinions either group. Good You Ask; OK.. 35s from the looks, many tire stores/shops would not mount on OE; as the OE wheels are only 7.5 in wide.. Are you off roading (looks like yes) so a lift (spacer or real lift) many 2.5: Lifts say good for 33s, however, the AEV 2.5 in Dual Sport raised our JKU 4".. .. Spacers (not a fan) Wheels get 4.5 to 4.75 back space & 9 in width rim; e.g. 17x9 .. .. and you might have some slight rubbing at full turn. Good Luck, take you time and get the right stuff at the onset.
Currently run 315/70E17 10 plys on my JK, stock wheels were to narrow so bought 17×9 steel D style with 4.5" back spacing, have a cheapo 2.5" Super Lift, basically upgraded springs and shocks and brake line relocation brackets, i disconnect while wheeling and I still have my stock fenders
