Default OE Style Airbox for HEMI swap

Is there an OE style airbox that can be used on a hemi swap so that I can run paper filters?

It seems like everyone else jumps over to cone style K&N filters, but Oil impregnated air filters just aren’t my thing. Im looking for a filter solution that actually works, by that i mean actually filters particulates out of the airstream.

current set up:

I run an Airaid non-oiled dry but washable filter on my V8 conversion. I use soap and water to clean out with low pressure air blasted from inside to out to get the dirt out. Then dry and install. No MAF sensor contamination.

Maybe no oil in the MAF, but I wonder if it actually filters worth a damn. I suspect all of the performance filters out there sacrifice filtration for flow, wet or dry.

Im not an expert here but I would consider a couple factors for flow of a filter.

1) Micron rating of the filter.
2) Surface area of the filter.

Take an oem filter with a 10 micron rating and a surface area of 100sq inches and it has a flow rating of x.

Then take a performance filter with the same surface area as the oem filter and the higher flow rating of y, then they would have to sacrifice the micron rating to get that better flow.

I guess what I’m saying is to look at the factory filter micron rating and the micron rating of the performance filter. If the performance filter has more surface area than the factory filter (such as a come filter), then the performance filter will have more air flow since it can draw air from a larger area.

Do you happen to have a model number on that?

No but let me track it down through old receipts. It is a 3-1/2" tube inlet though so if you are stock Jeep I thought they are 3" inlet.

Crawlex, what radiator, fan and coolant over flow bottle are you using. I did my swap last year and used the stock JK radiator and fan and the bottle is from a TJ. But the cooling system didn't hold up well when towing my camper. I didn't use a kit, I made stuff work at the time, but it's now time to change it. I'll start a new post, but wanted to know what you are running.
How's your cooling working out?
Here's my setup.
Thanks.

I couldn’t pull a part number on that overflow, I’ll see if I can get another angle on it next time I want to get dirty.

It’s an AMW swap so you may also be able to reach out to them and ask.

The radiator looks like a mishimoto but I don’t know what is for sure. I’m running the Pentastar fan and installed an RPM Extreme fan control module which I highly recommend. It stays ahead of the heat build up, and allows me to run full fan rpm at the flick of a switch. I also have an AEV heat reduction hood.

I haven’t towed but I live in Colorado and have worked it pretty hard over some high mountain passes just to see what it could do. No over-heating issues. I’ve never had it in hot climates though.

Back on topic,

This is how awful the k&n did over the last 18k miles.

Consider this a public service announcement…
