Default Synergy or MetalCloak Springs

Hello. I have spent the last several weeks searching forums researching springs and coils before I made this post. I have a 2016 2DR Rubicon on 35" KO2s on 17 wheels (PSI 26-28), that I bought with a 4" Rough country lift. Since then I have added adjustable lower control arms, steering stabilizer, adjustable front track bar, and had an alignment. Very soon I will be adding adjustable upper rear control arms and an adjustable rear track bar. I am also going to replace the coil springs and shocks and try to bring it down about an inch or so. I am mostly city/highway driving and also use it on some property I have that is very rough and rocky with some pretty steep hills. Other than that, that is about the extent of my wheeling except for maybe some light trails. From my search so far, I am trying to decide between Synergy 3" coil springs or Metalcloak 2.5" springs with fox 2.0 performance series shocks. I want to be sitting around 3" of lift with my setup. The jeep has a hardtop, rock rails, and a heavy duty spare tire carrier. I don't plan on adding any additional weight to it. I am looking for good road/highway handling with good off-road handling when needed (which won't be very often). If anyone has a similar setup and has experience with both Synergy or MetalCloak Springs paired with fox 2.0 shocks, I would love to hear your advise and feedback. I thank you in advance.

Don't rule out Rock Krawler Springs. I run their 3.5" triple rate springs on my 2 door, and the ride is fantastic! I've got full skids, JCR rock rails, 10k winch, steel bumpers with a 37" spare on a beadlock, and have the 10 gallon AEV fuel caddy on my rear bumper now as well. They settled slightly after awhile, but everything still clears my 37x12.50R17's, and I'm able to stuff them nicely.

I am running fox 2.0 shocks and 3.5 Rock Krawler springs and find the ride excellent. I would recommend them to anyone. The alignment will be after the spring install correct?

Correct, next alignment after springs and shocks. From your experience does the Rocker Krawler 3.5" give roughly the advertised lift height? I really don't want to be anymore than 3-3.5" with my current setup. When I called MC they said their 2.5" should give about 3-3.5"

I wish I had a pic of when I had these springs mounted. They were betting a little closer to 4” in the beginning, but settled out to around 3”. I also have a 2 door, so my Jeep weighs less than a 4 door. Check RK’s website and compare the spring part numbers between the 2 door and 4 door. I believe they use there is some correlation between the two, due to the weight differences.

I have the Metalcloak 2.5 lift on my 2013 jkur. You do get a little over 3 inches. I have there shocks, which are pretty good except real potholes. Had the fox 2.0 on a previous lift, felt a lot stiffer.

Also I have heard for the Evo spings, if you want 3 inches, that’s what you get. 4 gives you 4.
