2007 jk sat for 2 weeks. Had gas cap message which cleared. Front end began to wobble at 40 mph. Never had
the wobble before. I’ve read about the death wobble but why after sitting for 2 weeks.

 

Welcome to JKF. ok.. initial thought Flat Spots on Tires from sitting... proper air pressure in tires .. Rotate tires and see if it is resolved...AND Here is a good video on what to check:

 

Only thing I can think of to explain the "after two weeks" is that the tires might have flattened just a bit not moving, and once rotating are throwing things just enough out of balance to highlight a pre-existing condition that you weren't noticing before. IE....tires aren't the cause of wobble, but are triggering it.
