Default Interior Swap Questions

Hello,

New to Jeeps but not to mods. I’ve previously fully updated an 02’ 7.3 Excursion to a 2016 King Ranch interior, exterior, and SD axles. Definitely not afraid to try new stuff. Long time diesel enthusiast and now lovin the Jeep.

So I have an 08’ JKU that I got for a great price. I’ve been stockpiling parts for a HEMI swap in the near future, but I’m wanting to do an interior swap from a 2011 JK. I’ve looked all over and found the dash, steering wheel, and center console swap pages but I’m looking to upgrade the HVAC system as well. Does anyone know what exactly needs to be done on the electrical side do make this work? I’ve seen some mention re-pinning at the TIPM, but no specifics. TIA.

My gut tells me you won’t find specific data here you’re looking for. I’d suggest finding complete wiring diagrams for both years of vehicles and comparing them to determine how the wiring will convert.

Look at alldata, they have a pretty good subscription for monthly/annual service manuals.

I would look into a 2015+ dash. Much nicer than the 07-11 ones especially for the dash speakers if you are doing a system upgrade along with your other mods.
