Thoughts / Opinions In A New Muffler
Im just about to wade into installing the Evo King Coilover Kit into my 2016 2Dr JK.
Im gonna have to relocate my exhaust so that it terminates just in front of my rear wheel / drivers side.
Does anyone in the group have any suggestions / opinions / favs on the muffler I should use?

I used a cheap ass Thrush welded muffler from Advanced Auto years ago and it fit the bill for me. I mounted in the factory location tucked way up and you can barely see it even with a rear skinny bumper installed. Something of similar size should be able to mount mid-axle like you're thinking, so you shouldn't be limited to barrel-style mufflers. Gosh, when I bought that it was ~$30. Hard to believe prices these days. I figured it was so cheap if I hated the sound nbd. I actually think it sounds ok with the 3.6L. I'm not too picky though, I just needed to replace that huge bloated factory pos for clearances.
I have the Dominion Off-Road Jeep JK muffler. Originally it was only available for the 3.8s, but I've heard he came out with one for the 3.6s. I am honestly not sure the status of his business, but he still has a webpage. The muffler has a very nice note--a custom-design he created because the various aftermarket mufflers were too loud. This has more the sound of a factory sport car than a kiddie-car drone that will drive one bonkers over long distance travel. You can hear what it sounds like from several different angles here at 2:52 (Should be forwarded automatically) ...

Not sure if the responses match your needs. But somewhere you have to duck under the chassis if you come out in front of the wheel. If you still have the Control Arm front bracket in the rear I would place the muffler inside the chassis area I would weld a HD steel tunnel in front of the hanger and bring the muffler exit out through the tunnel. Will save it from squishing on occasion when the hanger gets hit. I would think a turbo muffler tilted a bit would fit in there and they are quiet if you buy the good one like Walker.
