JK Show & TellWhether they're just poser shots in your driveway or hardcore action shots on the trail, if you've got photos or videos of your Jeep JK Wrangler (or any JK for that matter that you think is worth showing off, inside or out), we want to see them so please post them here! Likewise, if you are wanting to see a photo of something specific like an aftermarket JK part or poser shot with a specific setup, this is the place to ask for it.
I thought id get everything together in a single thread. I have owned my Jeep for a year now, started out with little mechanical experience and no desire to offroad (hence the sport buy) to putting in my own lift, mounting my own tires and replacing my oil cooler among alot of other projects.
Here is what ive done so far:
*replaced tire carrier as OEM one rattled*got poison spyder louver kit off of vevor for 80$ because... metal sheet is a metal sheet. Cut open my hood and threw it on. Took me all day.
*installed 2.5in Metalcloak lift (this took me 7 days, lost 2 days due to fighting with exaust bolt and to losing a banjo bolt when doing the brakes. You see i was under impression only one crush washer was needed and couldn't figure out why i was losing oil pressure, haha)
*bought a full size tubular bumper on marketplace for 180, cut off the tubes and converted it to a stubby, grinded down primed and painted with bed liner. got my winch in shortly after.
*sourced fender flares and rubi takeoff sliders on fb marketplace. 200 and 60 respectively.
*powerstop rotors and brakepads installed
*front driveshaft went kaput as expected. Replaced with Adams.
*got tire and wheels drop shipped without install because i thought it would be fun to do myself (it also saved me 600 off the price vs pre assembled) Went with balance beads for balancing.
*my most recent project was oil cooler replacement and first time really digging into the engine. Went with amazon aluminum cooler w good reviews, felpro gaskets and oem sensors. Took me all day but the Jeep runs great with no leaks.
*i also sourced a D44 front axle housing that im working on beefing up currently. Some pictures below.
*gears and rear locker are next up. It seems this is where my comfortably with DIY has reached an end and im going to outsource the labor.

I will update the thread when i make other changes. Next phase is 38s on beefed up d44s and going to 3.5 lift most likely.
big shoutout to everyone that helped me with this process, namely resharp who tirelessly responded to my million newbie questions on this forum. Although I physically completed this work myself i definitely couldn't do it without help found here, youtube and from a few mechanically inclined car enthusiasts I met online.
Great mods and well thought out. Also good to see you navigating around the big $$$ spending and saving some.
Appreciate it! I definitely try to cut costs where I can, so i can spend the serious money where it matters. Im also enjoying the building/learning process so its a win/win saving on labor.
