Default No lift, 285/75r16's

Looking for info before I buy. I have seen all the posts saying the largest tire you can go without a lift is the 265's, but I am currently running 265/70r16's on a stock rim and don't seem to be even close to rubbing anywhere even when wheeling.

My queston is for those running 285/75r16's and no lift! Do you wheel it and have rubbing issues then? If so, where is the rubbing? I would think it might in the front but it really doesn't look like it to me. If so, where? (fender, air damn...)

Thanks!

(BTW, yes I do realize that my current tires are 70 series and that a 75 is going to be taller, not to mention the 285 part)

I ran 285/75/16's for over a month before I got my lift....never rubbed a bit. I do think if you are using stock wheels they may at full turn but you could fix that with a couple of washers on your stops.

I ran that size for about 10 months no problems while wheeling.

10 months with Mickey Thompson Baja MTZ's 285 75 16's and no lift. I bought 5/16" spacers for the front as I had slight rubbing on the sway bar at full turn. Been wheeling lots with sway bars disco'd and lots of flex with no problems.
