Default Question RE: 1" JK Bodylifts and Shifter Geometry

Does anyone know if the 1" spacers on JK's with manuls have any shifter geometry issues like the TJ's do? Even with a mere 2" bodylift on my 06 Rubi I had to remove the shifter rod heat/bend over and over till it was right and swore I'd never go through that crap again. 1" isn't much and maybe the JK design is such that it would be ok, I just don't know.

No probs with an auto and all you have to do with a manuel is trim the shifter boot a little.

There are two boots, the upper and lower attached to the sheetmetal, the TJ's sometimes required trimming the sheetmetal a little along with heat/bending the shifter for 2" or 3" kits.

So are you talking about the lower boot or trimming the plastic console on the upper boot?
