Default Stock Lockers, Would You Have Them Again?

Hi all,

My Rubi should be here at the end of the month or a bit after that, and I'm a little worried about a few things. Seeing how some of you have had problems with the stock lockers, if you had to do it over again, would you have them, or just trash them and get ARB's? Same goes for the sway bar, keep it electric or go with a manual disconnect? I know this is a pretty subjective question. Thanks!

They may not be the best, but they are covenant, and hopefully if they fail the warrantee will cover them. So far mine have worked well without a hitch.

On the e-disco, like I said before it’s convenient, but it would be nice if it worked in 4 wheel High as well as Low. I know I can re-wire things to make it work any time, but it would be nice if it worked in High/Low from the factory. Manual discos work when you pull them - high, low, just 2 wheel drive. Do you have to be on a relatively flat surface to connect/disconnect manual disconnects?

Bottom line - I’m not planning to replace my lockers or e-disco.

Personally i would trash em. The ARBs in my new axles work much better than the stock lockers. Oftentimes when wheeling, the locker will not engage very quickly and you have to sit there and wait for 20 or 30 seconds for the locker to disengage. Very annoying if you have trails that wind through the trees and you need to lock them for the difficult portions and unlock them for every tight corner. Also, the factory switch set up was very annoying. Plus with the ARB you can use the lockers any time you want to. Overall the arb much better locker.

I would like to have manual disconnects, and i did for about two days, but then i bent and broke one and my shop replaced them with some leftover ones for 18 dollars. But i havent had any problems with the sway bar disconnect. It is slow as well, but faster than any manual set up. and you turn it on and off less frequently. Works for me. If i go to a bigger lift i might be worried about it at full articulation pulling the sway bar down too far.....
