Default Dumping Black Diamond rear springs

My rear end is sagging. On the Jeep too.

I put the Black Diamond 3" lift in. The rear passenger's side has sagged over 1" so far. The ride is way too soft and I've hit the stops several times when on the trail. The part number says it's the right ones for the 4-door.

Since Superlift/Black Diamond has been unresponsive to date (well over a week of repeated phone calls) I've decided to put in 200 lb heavier springs from Rancho with a full 3" of lift in the rear (the BD's only gave 2"). Should stop the bottoming out for good, and it will be nice to get the JK level across the back again.

I'm hoping BD will respond, but there's no way I'm going to put in another set of BD springs just to have to tear it all down if they don't hold up either.

So much for "pre-stressed" springs! Buyer beware!

You must have gotten the wrong springs.

I have Black Dianond 3 inch springs on my unlimited X, and got a full 4 inches measured lift, and after almost a year and 10k miles I still have the full 4 inches (jut compared to a stock X yesterday). I will only hit bump stops on the trail in extreme conditions and extreme flex.

I don't have my part numbers, but I have been very happy. My ride with Rancho 5000 shocks is nearly the same as stock.

I will see if I can find my part numbers. I think they may be on tags on the springs, but I am not sure if they are still there.

Superlift came through. They are going to warranty the Black Diamond rear springs with a set of new springs from the 4" Superlift kit. I like that better than the Rancho solution, but I was seriously ready to pull the trigger on that option (on order) before Superlift made it right.

You gonna get about 4 inches out of the rear super lift springs.

you may get more. Like I said, I got a full 4 inches out of my 3 inch Black Diamond springs, and I have read several threads talking about getting over 5 inches on 4 inch springs.

Be careful with anything over 4 inches as reports of drive shaft issues are common over 4 inches.

just my 0.02...

I'm hoping I'll get more than the 2" out of the Black Diamond rear springs originally installed, especially since the rear right has sagged to a net of only 1" of lift. I got 4 1/2" out of the front, but I was thinking that the rear was so low since Superlift says their system also helps get rid of the "rake" (factory nose-low stance). If I can get anywhere near 4" in the rear, I'll gladly deal with any drive shaft issues. Already had to replace the front drive shaft since the front spring lift was enough to force the CV boot into the transmission on full flex.

I'll update with the final results sometime next week after the new Superlift springs are installed.

Originally got over 5 out of the rear, it's settled down to about 5 but I still have a stock bumper and am running no spare right now. I posted you'll at least get 4in. Even if you have a new rear bumper , tire carrier, and spare. Anyway that's what I meant to say. Don't know what bumpers you got , but your gonna get alot out of those rear springs.
