Question Has anyone istalled gears yet?

Has anyone been able to find and install gear sets yet?

I am waiting patiently (so far) for my supplier to get 4:88's in for me.

He says no manufactures are shipping them yet.

Anyone?

Well let me rephrase the question,,

Does anyone else have 4:88 or 5:13 gears on order?

Thanks jeepfreek13

I hate to keep bugging my supplier if he actually cannot get them yet.

I have ordered 4:88's for running 37's but the sales guy at the 4x4 shop thinks I should consider 5:13's.

Any opinions?

If you are going to be running 37's, go with the 5:13's. I'm actually thinking about going that route with 35's, will be a little steep with the 35's but perfect if I step up down the road. I'm waiting for gears until I can get lockers so I can have it done once.

The only company with gears coming out so far is Superior Axle & Gear. Off Road Evolution had installed a set of 4.88's in Kevin McNulty’s 4Wheel Drive & Sport Utility Rescue Green Jeep JK Rubicon Unlimited that’s sitting on top of 35″ tires and a set of 5.13's in their own Silver JK Sahara Unlimited that’s sitting on 37″ tires. I have riden in both before and after and can tell you that if you're going to be running 37's, 5.13's are definitely the way to go.

Thanks JKMAN & WAYOFLIFE

Both were very insightful,, I will call and change my order.

Sounds like I will have a bit of time before my order is sent.
