Default who has installed a 3" lift kit ?

so hwo has gotten a 3" put in there JK. If I remember right a while back people were having minor problems when they installed the track bar drop bracket for the front axle. so are you guys putting in the bracket or leaving it off ? I ask because I'm installing a FT 3" eco. lift Sat on my JK and just thought I'd get a little input from you guys before I put it in, just courious what's working.

what I'm putting in this weekend= FT 3" economy lift, Fox external res. shocks, 35" toyo's, and wheel spacers. then I'm going to be making my own adjustable arms since the availability is prety hard to come by....

I have the Teraflex 3" on mine. This kit does not have a front bracket, which results in the front axle being offset to the driver's side about 1/2". Some people have complained that this causes their Jeep to pull to the left, but mine does not. It would definately benefit from adjustable arms to reduce the slight steering "wander." Good luck with your kit.

There have been issues with added leverage on the stock bracket created by the extended front bracket. The rear is not an issue because there is not as much lateral force due to no steering components in the rear. I would seriously consider getting a new front track bar.

I've seen a picture of a broken rear bracket also. It was either a Rancho or Skyjacker lift. Teraflex and Full Traction both use drop brackets from the frame end, which is much better. I'm not sure what the other brands use.

I had some bump steer with the bracket. I took it off and that went away. Still had wandering and tracking issues. I have since replaced the track bar and upper control arms.
The ride is much better. I am still going to do the lower control arms as I think I can use a pinch more caster.(the uppers are as short as they can adjust to)

The one that broke off was strange. It was sheared completely off with no signs of twisting. I would think it was a flawed Jeep factory bracket.

How many degrees of caster were you able to obtain with just the UCA's?
