Default Need final opinion! Buying Soon!

Alright, so I know I have posted threads about Fog lights and such before, and yes- that is what this one has to do with, but I am planning on buying them very soon and just want to see what's best. PIAA 520's or the KC Round SlimLite

Please throw your opinion this way! Thanks!

so the 520s seem to be the best for fogs huh. What is the legal wattage in Florida for them to be used on the street? The KCs arnt so great for fogs then huh?

the fogs are supposed to be active on the low beam circuit only. Driving lights are supposed to be on the high beam circuit only and long range are supposed to be on their on circuit. The definition of a fog light, driving light and long range has more to do with the pattern of the light than wattage. Long range lights are good for off road use ONLY in FL and technically they are supposed to be covered when on streets etc. Also, in FL, light bars above the wind shield are supposed to have the lights covered regardless. It usually isn't enforced.

That said, I don't know how they would be able to tell a KC Slimlite fog, driving and long range lights apart much less whether or not they are 100 watt or 130 watt.

I'm not sure. That's the way they started out back in 1970.

My guess is they guy that designed the Daylighter was 23 at the time.

Don;t know much about the Slimlights, but I love my KC 130 Daylighters. They work great and are very solid build quality.
