Default 5.13's or 5.38's?

I have 37's sitting in the garage waiting on my 4 FT lift to arrive. So now I am focusing on ordering my gears. What should I go with? 5.13's or 5.38's?

I don't believe the 5.38 gears are shipping yet. Did you want them now or later? With 37's I would go with 5.38's if you are willing to wait till they're out.

I would go 5.13 up to 37" and for 39" to 40" go 5.38

I have 5.13s now with 36" tires and am muy happy. YMMV

My installer says that Yukon Gear has both instock for the Dana 44. Not sure if this is the case.

what do you have now? I am running the stock 4:10's with 37's. does fine for now. I will be upgrading to 5:13's Later (as money permits) but have not had any problems other than slight loss in the jeeps power/tork

From the questions I have asked installers and other jeepers. the 5:13's will probably be closer to what I think your after. But if your going with a larger lift/tires in the future the 5:38's might be for you.

I'd go for the 5.38's,I have 35's with 5:13's and an auto trans and I think that I would like 5:38's now,but I do live at 7000' and the Jeep struggles here compared to when I travel to a lower altitude.
