I installed a 2" SUPERLIFT and thinking about changing to longer shocks, anyone have the SKYJACKER 8000 NITROS . how are they compared to stock shocks. SKYJACKER is offering a $ 35.00 rebate on any 4 shocks purchased before MAY 31. Anyone suggest something better in the same price range ?

 

I Have The Hydros And They Ride A Little Stiffer Than Stock But Not Much. I Like Them For The Price.

 

I have the nitros on mine and I think they ride great, not to stiff at all, alot like the stock ride. They are gas montube shocks which are supposed to ride better verse the hydraulic shocks.

 

bump...anymore feedback on these SkyJacker Nitro shocks? Thinking about replacing my TeraFlex 9550 on my 2.5" lift. Seems like the rears extend to 25" on these as opposed to 28" on my current TF shocks. This should help keep my coils in place

 

I've got the Nitro shocks. Mabye a little on the stiff side but not bad.

 

have you considered a set of rancho 9000x or even a set of old man emu's. personally, i think you would find that either of these would offer a better ride.

 

i have the skyjacker 8000 nitros and have to say it is way stiffer than stock i run 25 psi on my 33"km 2 mt's to soften the ride. i am now looking at a adjustable shock like the rancho.....

 

I will look at those but there seems to be quite a jump in price. These SkyJacker 8000's are gas charged twin tube (I think like my current TF 9550's) so for the price ($39.99) I thought they'd be an inexpensive replacement.

 

I'm running the Skyjacker 8000's on my Sahara with 2.5" of lift. My Jeep see's 98% highway and these shocks are too stiff for me. I'm looking at swapping them out for something softer on the highway.

 

aren't hydraulic shocks like Skyjacker hydro shocks suppose to run softer and more comfy on-road???
