Default Cold air intakes / throttle body spacers?

Who's running cold air intakes? Did you notice any HP gains? Are they loud or whiney sounding?
What about throttle body spacers?
What's the best, least expensive performance bolt-on to start with??
Thanks!!

I put the airaid CAI on my jeep and instantly loved the sound it made. I think its quicker off the gas now but that could be my imagination. But personally the sound it makes when stomping on the gas is more than worth the cost. That combined with the borla dual exhaust has given my Jk a nice low rumble when idle and a loud scream when flooring it.

I have the True Flow XDI Intake ($285) and the Banks Monster Exhaust system ($345) installed on my JK. Love them both, are they worth the money? I don't know but I don't worry about $

Do you have them installed? I'll go ahead and guess not.

I dont have a CAI, but I am very happy with the improvement I got from changing out my muffler. My JK now takes hills better and seems to a little peppier. I got a Flowmaster Delta 50 installed in the stock location for $180.00. I am leary of a CAI, mostly due to the exposed filter element. I have been thinking about the True Flow or the Volant because they offer some protection for the filter.

x2. that guy doesn't know what he's talking about. It wastes a whopping 25 minutes and I got gains in HP and Fuel efficiency. oh yeah and it sounds gnarly!

PoorDad,
Do you get any re-verb or "resonation" in the cab at any given speeds? I had a flowmaster 40 series on my last truck, and I loved the sound except when I was crusing at about 60 MPH. At that speed, it turned into a loud, annoying humming sound. Any complaints about the Delta 50? Did you have a new tip put on with it?
Thanks!

compare the factory intake design to a cai and it doesnt look anymore effecient. just thrown in a k&n filter youll get the same benefits as the cai without the noise. exhaust and a good programmer will make the most difference. and id rather a supercharger for 5000 then a hemi for 18000 that make about the same power

I went with the Airaid CAI and Throttle body spacer. Love the sound and performance. The price isn't bad either. If you shop around you can get both for the price of the the CAI.
