Radiator hose trick works like a champ, no rattles or vibrations from the spare at all. Highly recommended mod.

I have tryed the waterhose mod. but was not impressed with it at all. Maybe because I have a 37" spare. I belive that the extra weight of the 37" tire makes the need for more support than the water hose can provide.

I see that Quadratec offers a New heavy duty replacement for the tire stop, it can also be cut for better fitment. I think iam going to order a set and try them out.

Just looked in the Quadratec catalog they arre called Tailgate Tire Bumperstops, they are on page 4 and are $14.99

Looking back I should have made a bracket for five led lights instead of two. I think it probably is not bright enough in the daylight.
