Default Has anyone installed Rusty's Offroad front control arms

I purchased some adjustable front upper control arms from rusty's offroad. the bolts that came with the control arms are bigger than stock and would require me to drill out the upper frame bolt holes, is this correct?????

Also, I purchased these to try to correct the castor, however these control arms aren't any shorter than stock, it looks like i should have ordered the lowers. any help or advise would be appreciated.

My front upper Currie arms are the same way. They come with new grade 8 bolts for the frame side. The bolt holes in the frame mount are a little too small, however only on one side. It takes all about 10 seconds to drill it out on each side.

Not too sure about the adjustability of Rusty's arms.....

If you can't shorten the arms any less than the factory arms, then you can't adjust the caster any better than what you already have. You would need new lowers too. Be careful with new lowers, if you shift the axle too far forward the coils can hit the swaybar. That was my experiance when adjusting the caster on my Rubi, I don't know how much different in length the swaybars are on an x or sahara compaired to a Rubi.

I forgot to mention that the holes were drilled out to 1/2", and only the outside hole of each mount needs to be drilled. The inside holes of the mounts are already 1/2".

were you able to adjust the caster with your currie arms or did you have to buy lowers as well

I only bought the uppers. The Currie lowers are able to be adjusted approx. 1/2" to 3/4" shorter than the stock arms. Right now I have them adjusted to about 1/4" shorter than the stock arms. I have not had time to drive it a whole lot, but I figured this was a good place to start since it wasn't to bad with the stock arms to begin with.

EDIT: I just read what I typed and I should have said I only got the uppers. I have not bought lowers, YET!
