Default i asked that wrong

I am looking to put a 4" lift and wanted to lift the front another 1.5" to level it out. I am asking how high of a kit before you have to get your front drivshaft lengthened? I don't want to void the warrenty. From what I have read on that as long as you don't have to cut, weld or lengthen it won't void the warrety.

I have a 07 4dr and have a 4" skyjacker lift (JK401K). I would have to say 4" is about all your going to get before you have to upgrade your front drive shaft. At the angle it is at its about maxed out. About the warrenty well it depends on who you take it to. They will not warrenty anything that is not stock (IE Lift Kits parts, Upgrades ect....) Most places wont warrenty the front drive shaft due to the extreme angle its in when lifted 4 inches. Plus upgraded drive shafts are much stonger anyways. The angle on the rear is hardly noticable. Also you wont need an addition 1.5" lift for the front to level it out. I would suggest putting the lift on and then look at adding a 3/4" front spring spacer if you dont like the look. I have the Skyjacker 4" lift (Updated version) and dont see a need at all for any spacers. My dealer did say that my axle shafts and drive shafts would not be covered by warrenty due to the larger tires and the angles of my front drive shaft is beyond Jeeps design specs. They said that anything over 33" is over what Jeep recommends. But hell, I look at it as if they break I was going to have to upgrade anyways and its a good reason to pass by the wife.

For got to add mine has a manual trans. Auto trans are more pain in the ass. with a 4" lift on a auto trans you will have to upgrade the front drive shaft. Auto trans are fatter and will rip the drive front shaft boot right off.
