Default front adjustable trackbar support bracket?

I'm planning on adding a Full Traction adjustable trackbar to my lifted JK and it was recommended by a vendor that I add a support bracket along with the new track bar since the factory brackets have proven to be a point of failure on lifted JK's even with the stock track bar. After searching the forum and reading some horror stories of these factory brackets braking I think I will take the vendor's advice and add the support bracket.

Does anyone have any knowledge/experience with these front track bar support brackets? Who makes them? I can't find them on vendor's web sites.

Any recommendations are appreciated!
Thanks!

Yeah. Read this thread.

I know that's a rear bracket, but if Pro Comp makes one for the rear, I'd say that would be a good place to start.

Rock Krawler makes a gusset kit for the front.

There is no need for brackets on anything less than 4" of lift. A adjustable trackbar takes care of that.

Thanks for the feedback but I'm getting conflicting information so I'll try to clarify my question. Doesn't the adjustable track bar take care of re-centering the axle? I assume the support bracket that was recommended simply reinforces the existing factory bracket and does not relocate it. Does that make sense?

The Adjustable track bar does recenter the axle. Track bar relocation brackets do this if you still have a stock(non-adjustable track bar), and there are reinforcement brackets aout there. However, I'm pretty certain that I haven't heard of factory brackets breaking on their own. All of the ones that I've seen or heard of breaking have had trackbar relocation riser brackets on, which puts too much leverage on the factory bracket causing the failure. Get the Adjustable track bar and you don't need a bracket. Now if you just want to strengthen it up, Currie makes a weld on kit for the front and rear axle mounts but you have to cut most of the factory bracket away, so there's no going back..

I have not heard of anybody ripping a factory bracket off with a adjustable trackbar. Most cases you will see is that they have attached a bracket to the factory mount which causes more leverage and rips the bracket off.

Adjustable trackbar is all you need.

But if you really wanted to gussett the factory brackets go ahead it wont hurt.
