i really am liking the look of these growler tires. does anyone know if they are ok on the road? cost? they only come in 2 sizes 12.5 and 14.5. i would like to do 33's but maybe 35's later on. i know the 8" will hold the 12.5, but i am curious if will i have to run 10" rims or will an 8" hold the 14.5?

i am looking at getting the bfg muds. i know that bfg makes great tires. just looking for some info if anyone could pass some knowledge on i thank you. thanks guise.

I have heard some good things about these tires, but I really can't think they would be very road friendly.

The link below talks about Ag tires, but the theory is the same. Basically bias tires have different construction under the rubber. Most of the time a large offroad bias tire will flat spot while parked for a while and you'll feel like you have square tires until they warm up. They are supposed to have different (didn't say better) deformation characteristics and stronger sidewalls. There's a reason you can't buy an automobile with bias tires any more...

As a general rule, bias ply tires don't ride that great on the road. They may be acceptable, but radials are much smoother.
