Default !! Help !!

OK I went to a Jeep store to ask questions about parts to buy.

#1 I was looking for 6" Full Traction lift for my JK 4dr Rubicon I was told not to buy this kit because it is to noisy They suggested to buy a 4-1/2 Rubicon Express kit.

#2 I asked about buying from real drive lines and they said that is a bad company from. Anyone had any ideas where to buy them.

#3 I want to put 37 inch tires on the jeep and they suggested 35 inch because i would have to put 5.13 gears in my jeep and all i would do it break them. They said 35 inch tires and 4.88 gears I would be better off.

#4 I asked about going to chromoly axles and he said that I do not need them.

#5 I asked about the evo-lever from off road evolution and they said that this would be a bad buy because shocks are not made to tun horizontally.

Can anyone give me some options and or suggestions on what to do.

Yeah - they are not very knowledgeable it seems, ...or, they are either not smart about lifts (So you don't want them doing one for you...), or steering you towards items they make more money on, rather than what you wanted (So you don't want to use them...)

Geez... did you just happen to ask about a bunch of stuff that they don't carry?
I can't think of any other reason they would just bash on everything that you asked about.

I second all the other advice... Run, don't walk... RUN away and don't look back.

I don't have it, but if I had the funds, the Off Road Evolution kit is SICK!

If you haven't seen the thread, check it out here.

look around on here for a while and see what works and does not work in the real world of jeeping and then make your decisions upon that knowledge.Just ask your questions, use the search feature and find some good info.

1. BS, if they honestly believe this they are morons. Either that or they are lying to you!

My suggestion to you is to look around this site for a few weeks to see what others are doing and how they are using their Jeeps. Then when you have an idea of what you are looking for, call David at Northridge 4X4 and let him help you out. Don't go back to that store you went to, they are idiots.

Sounds like you are interested in FT's stuff and the EVO LEVER. Since you are close why don't you go right to the source, Mel at ORE. Just call ahead and make sure he if you go!
