BB,BL,Fenders
OK, we bought an 08 rubicon and I have been reading about various lifts and such. I want to keep the stock ride as much as possible and possibly run
35" tires. I have read about BB lifts and having to put longer shocks, relocate
track bars, ect. Would I be better off with a less that 2" coil spacer along with a 1" body lift and Xenon fendors to accomodate the 35's? What will I be rubbing?
This is the wife's grocery gettin dog hauler. On the weekends it will see some
light to medium trail use.
I appreciate your wisdom!

You should be able to make it work fine. I am going with 36" Iroks, RC 2.5BB and Xenon narrow flares myself. A litte work with the sawzall and I should be good. I will upgrade the suspension down the road...probably to a 3-3.5" kit with track bars and the whole nine yards, but for now, this is what I can do. GO for it!
I have a 1 3/4" budget boost and a 1" body lift on my rubicon. I have longer shocks and bumpstops with stock fenders. I have no rubbing at maximum articulation with sway bar disconnected. I have 35" tires. It drives stock with stock tires. My Super Swamper Boggers do not drive stock, but they clear at full articulation and they look cool and they will climb muddy walls.

Remember that the flares take care of the outside fender rub, but NOT the pinch seam rub...and foldiing the seam back, and then hammering the fold flat/out of the way makes a less sharp, and less intrusive pinch seam, so your tires still clear on full stuffage.
Very nice! Those are the wheels I am thinking about. That is one good looking
wrangler!

Thanks for the info.
