Default tranny cooler question

I am about to install a small additional tranny cooler. From the looks it (and in the instructions) I cut the rubber hose connecting the two hard (metal) lines and splice in new rubber hose for the additional cooler.

I am not familiar with the connections jeep is using here. I would prefer to go directly from cooler rubber to vehicle metal line. Is there any simple way to do this - no splicing rubber to rubber? I.e. some type of connector?

Can you tell me exactly what fittings you used?

Thanks for the response. I know this will work. But, this is kind of what I want to avoid - splicing rubber to rubber. This looks a good place for braid to hard line to me.

Why are you wanting to avoid rubber to rubber? It is quick, painless and works well...no leaks too!

I cant argue. It is, indeed, quick, painless and works well. I just want less rubber and more metal.

edited to say:
Does anyone have any experience doing this? Any more suggestions/information?
