Cool Opinions on Rough Country 2.5 Spacer Lift with 2.2 Shocks

I am about to install this kit this weekend. Anyone got experience with it and what are your opinions. i am starting to think I should have went with the tereflex lift since everyone seems to fall in love with it ocne its installed and their customer service seems untouchable. This is only a temporary lift until I save some more cash and go a bit bigger. What are your thoughts?

I have it..installed it about 1.5 weeks ago....I installed it with Unlimited Rubi springs too. The ride is a little rougher (potholes) but on the whole I am happy with it. I wish it came with swaybar extenders though but for the price you cant beat the lift.

Oh an the instructions I got were a little vague (or maybe it is me with my first install) The kit comes with steel "sleeves" that are supposed to go inside the bottom shock mounts before you put the bolt in. It doesnt say it anywhere on the instructions.

Ben at Rough Country was excellent throughout the whole process and I cant say enough about customer service.

i have those shocks, and they are not bad

rougher on the speed bumps then stock Rubi Shocks, but smoother overall ride

Default hmmm

what are the advantages of the unlimited ruby spring? i just have the X so i am sure mine are different. Any idea how much those would be to get ahold of? this lift will only be on here about a year or 2 then something much larger. Cant you buy the sway bar extender or a different sway bar from RC? i thought iread something in the instructions about that. A dealarship is actually putting the lift on for me. I am also having an alarm and a steering stabalizer put on as well so I figured they could get it put on faster and more efficeintly than I could.

I've got the RC and 2.2 shocks and think it's fine. Haven't done any hardcore off-road work, yet, but others on JK-Forum have and are happy with it. Mine arrived without those sleeves for the shocks, and after I contacted RC, they overnighted the parts to me to get my job finished. Honestly: Though it would have been best had the parts not been missing, RC's reaction was top-notch customer support.

I have the RC 2.5 with the 2.2 shocks. The only problem I had was a sagging front end due to my bumper/winch combo that weighs 233LBS. I put some OME 615 coils on the front, took off the front spacers, and now the front only sits .5 lower than the rear.

Here it is before the new coils.

Well the Rubi springs were close to 2 inches bigger than my X ones....which was nice becasue my bumper and winch are probably close to 200 lbs until I get my synthetic cable....

It took me with mechanical experience (electrionics tech) 5 hours to do...

And yes I think you can get the bar expenders..I didnt though and should have....
