Default Power Steering Pump....

Has anyone installed a power steering Cooler on there system yet?

I noticed a small leak in my pump the other day... I am assuming now with the larger rubber the power steering fluid id getting even hotter and making the pump work twice as hard, heating up and doing a number on the seals.

any advice or kits out there would be a great help.

I noticed even on the stock tires the power steering fluid would boil.... now that I am running 37's I would hate to have it give up the ghost on the trail.

If you have the bucks, you might consider the extreme duty PSC assist kit for the JK. 100% bolt on

I'm not sure if they are sponsor here, but you can look up their web page.

I'm interested, I've notice some fluid build up on top of my gear box.

I run an ox hydraulic winch off my ps pump and it would boil the ps fluid half way through a winch job so I fitted a auto trans cooler of a ford on the low pressure return line fixed the problem for less than $100 all you need is the cooler and some hose and hose clamps

there are two effects at play here the cooling effect and the fact that the system has almost double the fluid
