Default Sleeves on shocks a neccesity?

I just had the RC 2.5 spacer kit put on my jeep and it didnt come with the sleeves for the shocks. The kit is on fine without the sleeves. is it really neccessary that i have the sleeves on?

Default Yeah

I didnt think it would be that big of deal except soem lil rocks and particles gitting inside the shock but I wouldnt think a lose plastic sleeve would even stop that. not to mention I dont want some bright ass orange shock sleeves showing under my Rescue Green jeep. I am literally color blind and that would just seem hideous to me.

I wound up putting some black shock boots on mine. They are zip tied on the top and fit really snug on a raised ring on the bottom.

zip tied? did you slice them down the side to put them on or did you take them off and put them on and they just didnt fit snug enough?
