Default trans and t-case gearing

This will be a 2 part question. For the 1st part,

1-Is there any difference between the standard t-case and th Rubi one, besides the gearing? If not, how easily/cheaply can the standard one be upgraded?

2-While googling something else, I stumbled upon some info about our NSG 370 transmissions. There is a close ratio version (what we have) and a wide ratio version. I'm not sure what vehicles this is available on, but it would be sweet to have the option of some lower gears in the tranny.

Here are the ratios:

Close ratio:
1st- 4..46
2nd-2.61
3rd-1.72
4th-1.25
5th-1.00
6th-0.84
rev-4.06

Wide ratio:
1st- 5.01
2nd-2.83
3rd-1.79
4th-1.26
5th-1.00
6th-0.83
rev-4.57
