Question: Warn Hawse Fairlead
I really like how simple this fairlead is. I want something black without any writing. I just want to make sure I won't have any problems running synthetic rope with it tho. In the description is says its made for wire rope... Im guessing its steal and iv noticed most synthetic fairleads are aluminum. What do you guys think?

Warn Hawse Fairlead
I think the reason aluminum hawse fairleads are labeled synthetic is the wire rope would be rough on the aluminum fairlead. Don't really think it matters to the synthetic rope . Does that make sense?
The steal hawse fairlead that came with my first Warn winch (M8000) I bought had a very corse finnish, if it's the same I wouldn't use it with synthetic rope. When I bought the rope it came with an aluinium hawse and the hook so I used that but they do make roller fairleads for Synthetic rope, they use white Delron rollers, when I replace my rope this summer I think I'll get the rollers.
Don't use a steel fairlead like that one with synthetic line, the texture will shred it up bad, also the radius is a little too sharp. just get an aluminum one and have it anodized black or spray paint it as the finish will wear off under load anyway.
