Default Aftermarket side mirrors

What's the latest word on aftermarket side mirrors that fit into the door hinge? Seems I remember reading something about them awhile back but haven't heard anything lately. I'm not a fan of the mopar bracket. I guess once I'm lifted and 35's installed most folks will just get the hell out of my way

I took a ten dollar universal mirro from Advance and tried to mount it with 3/4 inch aluminum tube, but it vibrated a little too much for my taste. So then I used a4 inch steel L-bracket that I bent and cut to fit right. That I will test tomorrow.

I spent $14 at a local truck shop and got two mirrors and one mounting bar. The mirrors are 5 inch round, and convex. The bar is 6 inches long and L shaped. The other I am going to construct myself from a piece of metal tubing from Home Depot. The one I have installed is only connected to the top bolt of the four on the side of the vehicle. It can be moved when I put the windshield up and down. Here is a picture

Nice job! Mind posting a closeup pic or two at the attachment point of the L-bar to the side of the windscreen?

You might want to check with Quadratec. There is a listing in the catalog (but I didn't see it online) for the QuickMirror1 for the JK. That would be great for doors off cruising but you won't be able to run half or tube doors at the same time as they use the door hinge to mount.

Default Mirror relocation brackets

I found some @ Discount Jeep Parts. http://www.discountjeepparts.com/pro...ducts_id/28240
Don't have to worry about doors. You'll have to rig something for rollin' w/ windshield down. But who needs mirrors when the shield is down?
