Question BB and 33's

Wonderin what the best 2" BB and wheels / tire combo I should invest in is. I will be in the trails more or less for fishing and camping and wont be doing a tremendous amount of serious wheeling. I would like to do a lift that wont require me to do any driveshaft work, however, I would like to upgrade the gear ratio...Also, if you advise against a BB..any feed back is appriciated.

Most of the 2" BB are the same. On Wednesday of this week I will be installing the Skyjacker 2" lift. Today I put on 285/75/16 tires and the pics are on the pic section. I think 2" lift and 33's is perfect for somoene who does no to moderate offroading and looks much better than the stock setup. No drivelshaft work needed and can be obtained for a relatively cheap price.

Sounds like for your needs, a BB will do just fine. The only thing I have against mine is that it lifts the same 2" front and back. I'd prefer more in the front, to level out the stance more. Some are running 33's w/ no lift, and some are running only 3/4" spring spacers in the front w/ no problems. Tire width and backspacing will be crucial if going this route. A 8" or even 9" wide wheel between 4" and 5" backspacing should do great. I'd suggest going no more than a 12.50 wide tire to prevent rubbing.

Also, no doubting you, but I'm 99.9% certain that all automatic-equipped JK's come w/ 4.10's. Some people see the "3.21" on the window sticker, but don't see the "4.10" in the optional equipment section. Either way, you're only going up 1" in tire size from the Sahara tires (I think they're 32's??), so there will be a minimal loss of effective gearing. No need to regear unless you go bigger, IMO.

How you like the SJ 2"BB?? Does it ride close to stock?! I like your setup and will probably be going VERY similar to yours (a little less bling but same size everything). Of course, it's the wifes ride and she'll murder me if I make it ride too rough. (she can't stand riding in my XJ!! haha)

This is quite similar to what i would like to do.

However, i think i will go with the Skyjacker 2.5 Standard Lift. Has anyone had experience with this lift? 33's fit?

Secondly i do not know a whole lot about tires sizing so this may be a stupid question, but I am wanting to put Toyo 33 M/T's on the stock 16" rims is this possible?

Again i'm new to suspension and lifts. What is the difference between the 2" BB lifts and the 2.5" standard? there must be somthing cause there is a $200 price dirrefence.

The 2" BB is perfect for 33's...I haven't fully flexed the Jeep yet...but, everything appears to have plenty of clearance. I have ordered the Shrockworks rocker guards and it will double as a step for my son. My wife is 5'6" and she gets in and out just fine...however, she wasn't too happy with me when I said we were taking the Jeep to the formal we went to on Saturday...
