Hey, your were in my neck of the woods, eh? I can tell you one thing, the only senic drives are up north, like Sedona. You probably already found this out. The desert is only senic when it rains, but then all of the washes are flowing.
EDIT: Well that statment is true, in the summer.

Anywho, great pics. Glad your enjoying your new Rubi.

Here are some pics of the jaguars he was talking about.

This one was taken by a heat-sensative camera near the arizona mexico boder, in 2003. It was supposed to take pix of illegal's but it got this.

This one was taken by a remote camera on the AZ NM border, in 1997. It was supposed to be taking pix of bighorned sheep

This camera was placed in hope of capturing a pic of a jaguar, in 2005

These last pics show on Fabruary 18, 2007 a hunter and his hound cornered a Jagaur in S. Arizona. The other pic shows the distribution.

I really like the tunnel pix and the dusty pix. Are those CB antennas?

It is a great area. I was at Luke AFB for a time, but no where near enough to see & do everything. I was transferred to Nellis temporarily & then back to SE Asia.

Before going back overseas I was lucky enough to get to make the drive from Pheonix to Vegas, then from Vegas back through Flagstaff & the painted desert over to Albuquerque, and ended up in Fort Collins CO. All of it was stunning scenery -HIGHLY reccommended.

How do you get there? I'd like to do that.

While you are up this far though you may also want to travel to Lake Tahoe and maybe run the Rubicon and Fordyce (Sierra Trek) trails. And if you come this way let me know, I'll go with you.
Sweet thanks. I'll defiantly let you know when I head out there.

Well, I guess you'll just have to move out here then.

I think you just started a new category:

Travelog with photos. That was a great
read. I'll have to do one like that for Florida.
