Default Rubicon axle + yoke change

Hi guys!

Got two questions, which I hope you can answer...

1. What's the bolt size of the breather connection (?), the one that goes into the axle on the right side. Got my new Rubicon Dana44 rear axle, but this little part was missing, there´s just the hole for it...

2. I also got the J.E. Reel driveshafts, front + rear, and in order to make the yoke conversion for them I need the inch sizes for the yoke nuts (as we use mm over here, I have no clue...)

1. The yoke nut on the rear Rubicon Dana44
2. The yoke nut on the front Rubicon Dana44
3. The yoke nut on the transfercase, front yoke
4. The yoke nut on the transfercase, rear yoke

Any help much appreciated!

Hello

Jeeps and almost all American cars use metric fasteners these days. The only holdovers are things like wheel lugnuts and a few really old parts that are still being used (and I can't think of any on the Jeep).

Although I have no specific info for you (sorry - happens alot I know), you can take your own known metric fasteners and try threading them into the unknown locations you mentioned.

Thanks... already tried it, though... and there's a slight misfit. On the smaller bolts (for i.e. linkarms and so) I used the inchwrenches I had, and they fit perfect compared to the metric ones.

It just so happens that I bought a front driveshaft and it arrived yesterday. The bolts that go from the drivesahft to the transfer case are 8 x 1.25 mm. I will be swapping it in soon so I'll let you know about the ones to the D44 flange (congrats on that swap btw - saw that u just did it)

Thanks! Will post pic's sometime next week, when it's all in place... Actually, as I bought the J.E. Reel 1350 driveshafts, they don't use the original flanges, so you have to change them to u-joint ones (which are included in the shaft package). So, the sizes I'm looking for is the "center bolt" that connects the flange/yoke to the axle and transfer case (the part that you attach the driveshaft to...). Sorry for vague explanation, but I don't really know the exact english terms for it...

It's 1 5/16 inchs and the socket needs to have an OD of 1 3/4 or less. Snap-On or Proto non-impact will work.
