Air tank mounting location??
Anyone have an idea where to mount a 2.5 gallon air tank? I rather have a little more reserve tank like the 5 gallon, but I just dont see any space for even a 2.5 gallon under the jeep. I plan on rerouting the muffler to beside the frame. So that space is gone
I was thinking about the rear axle. But I'm not sure if theres enough space without the axle hitting....
this is for my powerplant...

I personally plan on building my own front bumper and will incorporate an air tank with in... Plenty of room.. Front bumper becomes the tank.. Stuby front bumpers don't have much room.. But a full width should provide approx. 3-4 gals. of air..
I called warn customer service, he was very helpful of my questions, But didnt really have any suggestions on a location other than inside the passenger compartment. I was thinking about mounting it to a rear roll bar.

I was thinking the same thing, after I re-run the muffler along the frame rail thats a perfect spot for an air tank, I have looked at couple of different ones but I thought about making one and make it a little flatter to fit up in there snug out of the way.

OK, I guess I am a little confused, so here goes a stupid question. I thought the power plant could pump air directly from the winch. Do you have to fill a tank and then take air from the tank or is the tank just to have more air quickly available?
