Default Long Arm or Short Arm, which rides better ON road?

Ok, so just when I thought I was all set with what I wanted. Someone asked me why I wanted a Long Arm kit, if most of my driving was city/highway?

I thought the Long Arm Kit provided for better handling On the road as well as off. And Short Arm Kits were a bit harsher on road, as well as providing less flex off? Which seemed to me to explain the big difference between the kits.

Is this wrong? Have I got it backwards? Help! lol

Sorry for all the threads lately, but I'm about to pull the trigger on a fairly costly set of mods and I'd like to get it right.

Thanks guys!

Edit: And since Aussie brought up the size of the lift this is for a 4" or 4.5" lift.

Just installed RE 4,5" longarm on my JK, but haven't had a chance to try it yet. However - last year I installed a 6" longarmsystem on my TJ, and the most noticable change was just a stunning improvement of highway handling! Of course it's much better offroad as well, but highwaywise at least I felt the biggest improvement.

See that's more in line with what I'd heard, but then yesterday someone went and said the opposite and threw me for a loop. lol So far it seems like the long arm really IS the way to go, even if not too many people have chimed in.
