Default Tuffy Full Console installed with pics!

Thanks to Tuffy for allowing a couple of us forum members take part in evaluating their new console and sharing our experiences. I got mine last night and went right for it. Install took a total of about 2-1/2 hours with me taking my time. Overall, I would rate the installation 2 wrenches on the 5 wrench difficulty scale. Its really straight forward. Even if there had been no instructions, most of us could probably put it together fairly easily.

I wont get into too much installation details. You simply remove the OEM console, bolt a few parts on your new console, decide on a couple of optional items, and put the new console in.

The khaki matches perfectly with the OEM dash. And the padding and added height on the armrest is AWESOME!!!! There is a larger storage shelf in front of the shifter which is nice. And you get bigger cupholders. And the storage of the main console is larger than factory. The 12V outlet is a nice touch. I ran the wires but have not connected it yet. It will come in handy for adding a CB later on though.

Enough talk. Here are the finished pics.

Nice work! I think the list is $439? A bit of change for a steel console with more storage and ability to mount a stereo or CB in it. But I think it is worth it. I would have bought one anyway because I would rather have the CB hidden in the console than any other place. Not too fond of the over head consoles, or other options.

My favorite part is the armrest!! I just got back from driving to the 4Wheel Parts grand opening here and that armrest is PERFECT for me! Soft and high. Its great!

I would have to agree that the armrest is awesome... but I really do like it.. I would have bought one anyway.. install went rather smoothly.. pretty straight forward.. I like the little aluminum extra on the inside.. I am going to get the glove box next. I really like Tuffy's products..

Yep. Im in for the glove box, the cargo cover, and maybe even the drawer! Maybe a Tuffy t-shirt too. I even like that they stamp their name and logo into the console. :P

to me the design is nice......it looks a little unfinished with the bends around the shifter area. It looks like a nice tig weld or something could have finished it off a little bit. The sides look like they dont cover down onto the carpet as far as the plastic did. (just appears that way and hopefully sombody can elaborate). Looks nice. I'll wait for them to work out any little kinks and for the price to come down.
