Question PureJeep Rear bumper

I have a PJ rear bumper with tire carrier. Does anyone know what the bar behind the spare is for? I am guessing some type of brake light?

There is nothing on their site or anything about it (that I could find). I am thinking about cutting it off and making a mount for my jack.

Anyway, just thought someone might know...

Your signature says you have your hi-lift on your rear bumper... where do you have it mounted? (do you have a picture?)

Here is a shot of his JK of the rear. His HiLift is wedged between the top of the tire and the upright pole and it is clamped with two u bolts. to the upright pole.

cool, thanks... I thought about doing something like that. That is why I was thinking about cutting that bar off to make more room for the jack there.

thanks again for the pic... wish it was close up. I leave for Moab on Friday and I am trying to figure out if I am going to mount it before I leave.

That is in Lytle Creek California. Near the Cajon Pass off of I15. I have a couple different albums in my gallery of trips we have taken up there.

Finally got my PJ rear and carrier today, about freakin time! Yea, the bar is for 3rd brakelight. i'm guessing that PJ/Full Traction will have some add'l accessories available to mount to it. I've seen there bull bars and accessories now for the front bumper though I have not seen any actually in stock or pricing... but they do have a great product once you get it.
