Exclamation Rubicon Express BB & Monotube Upgrade

Yesterday I (with some professional help) installed the Rubicon Express budget boost with the monotube shock upgrade ($515). We ran into some issues with the shocks. One of them being that the Rubicon Express shocks were only about an inch longer than the factory shocks yet the front spacer is 2.5 inches? The cross bars didn't fit the factory bolts and there were no sleeves in the front shock bushings. The shocks were not set up for a JK. I ended up putting the factory shocks back on. To be fair to Rubicon Express I am going to contact them Monday and see if we can get a few things worked out. Other than the shocks the spacers were an easy install. I'll keep everyone posted on what Rubicon Express suggests for the shock issues.

I'll try to post pics later today. I forgot one thing though (other than pics) the bushings were significantly shorter in width also than OEM.

Tried to post pics but they are 10x the file size permitted? I called Rubicon Express today and expressed my concerns about their shocks and they basically told me that is just the way they come. I was hoping for a JK specific shock not just a generic well it'll work on a Jk also shock.

To the best of my knowledge, all current shocks come with bushing that are too small. I would recommend just reusing the factory rubber set.

Try to resize them in Photoshop or even the basic Paint program that Windows has and then upload them.

Thanks for the advise. I'll try to post pics again this evening. As for the bushings width RE said use washers to fill the space. I'll have my 35's mounted hopefully today and more pics to follow (hopefully).
