Default Ok, need to make a decision: What 2" lift to go with.

Ok...

Tires are on the way (305-70-16 Cooper STT's)

Wheels are on the way (16x8 Eagle 137's)

I need to go ahead and order a lift & shocks. I want a lift thats going to level out my JK without the use of additional spacers. I know i've discussed this before, but I need to figure out if I want Skyjacker, Black Diamond, or Rubicon Express. The rubicon express is alot more expensive than the other 2, but if its that much better then money isnt a big issue. I dont think i've seen pics of a black diamond lift. I will be going with a LoD front bumper so thats some extra weight on the front, but I'll be going sans a winch, so not too much more. I'm not interested in the terraflex, I think 2.5 is too much for the 33's.

I have the 2" Skyjacker lift and 285/75/16's. The Skyjacker lift does not level out the front, you will need additional spacers up front to level it out. That being said I don't know about the other lifts you mentioned. If i had to do it over again I would have gone with the Skyjacker 2.5" lift just so it sat a little taller.

rubicon express is my opinion. they are all pretty much the same at this point. just a few peices of plastic and 4 new shocks.

getting my black diamond 2" on tomorrow. hopefully it will level it out a little. seems like the front spacers are a little longer than the rear. will post pics for you when done.

I read somewhere the Rubicon Express is almost 2.75 in the front to make up for the sag. Looking at pictures two of the spacers look bigger then the other two. I will try to find the article and post it.

Rubicon Express' kit consist of 2.50" spacers for the front, and 1.75" spacers for the rear. This is fine for Sahara's which have a more drastic rake, but for Rubicons it will look funny.

You can buy the Skyjacker which consists of 2.00" spacers front and rear, then just leave the factory spacer out of the rear and this should level your Jeep more accordingly. If you look at the Teraflex Budget 2.50" instructions on-line, they actually suggest doing this if you want your Jeep to sit more level.

It depends all on how your Jeep sits stock. Mine is a 2-door Rubicon with Trailer Tow. My front only sits .250" lower than the rear. If I put a winch on I will take the extra factory spacer out of the rear to level it out.
