Default Anyone have hicth mount BIKE rack

I'm looking to add a hitch and bike mount to My Sahara. I was wondering which bike rack will clear the big 18 inch spare tire. Thanks Jason

Remember, the search feature is your friend. Search Hitch Bike Rack and you will find plenty of reading to keep you busy for a while.

Keep in mind, any rack will clear the spare tire as long as you buy a hitch extender.

I've got a BAT RACK. it's really good for ridge frame Mountain Bikes with front forks. if youve got shocks all around on your bike might want to go with a tire mount set-up.

I've got this Allen rack, it will clear a 35x12.5 no problem.

Are you able to open up the rear door all the way with this rack?

I use the thule T2 tray rack. It works well however you cannot get access to the tailgate, or fold it up without a hitch extension (i got a 6" drop)

I have a Saris Hitch Mount Rack. Fits perfectly and is also close to the tire when mounted - which is nice. Saris offers a lifetime warrantee... I just got replacement hand screws (Redesigned this year and Free) for folding down the arms when not in use. Had mine for over 6 years and its like new.

In the past I had a Yakima, which is also a very good rack.

Be sure you get a rack that has a Screw-in Hitch Pin, so the rack holds tight and doesnt bounce around (Im sure most do). My Old Yakima did not, but was an option I purchased later.

No, the Allen rack is extremely well built & solid, but the gate can only be opened halfway
