Theres a FAQ about this topic around here try searching. Some say 3" and above you'll need to swap your shafts out for some after market shafts.I don't think you'd have to replace your shafts with 3" of lift.Another way to get around this would be to get a 2.5" lift kit and a 1" body lift.Teraflex makes some great kits as well as Full Traction.Good luck and wellcome to JK-Forums.

T-cases are not being lowered on JKs like they were on TJs. Driveline vibrations are not a concern due to the use of CV joints instead of universals (except at the front axle). Beyond 3" of lift the risk of damaging a CV becomes a concern and many people change out driveshaft styles in favor of a double cardan type shaft. Good luck.

Your fine on the T-case, If you'll be doing decent trailing you will most likely need new driveshafts. Stock ones are shit anyways.

You did ot mention if you are driving an unlimited or a 2 door. Makes a big difference. An unlimited will be fine with a 3 inch lift. More than 4 and many here recomend new drive shafts. I have a measured 4 inches in my unlimited (acheived with 3 inch springs), 14k miles, lots of extreme off roading and no issues.

The 2 door has different angles in the rear because of the shorter wheelbase, and others here can give better advice on that.
