Default Drilling into a Shrockworks Bumper???

Has anyone drilled into the front of a Shrockworks midwidth bumper? I am thinking of mounting my license plate directly to the right side of the winch opening. Your thoughts?

I don't know if this helps, but I drilled into my Mopar steel bumper to mount some Hellas. I just driled a small pilot a bit of the way into the steel and used a step bit to get a 1/2" hole. Worked fine, just use a lubricant...I had WD-40 handy.

I'm not sure what your question is, but I did drill into my Shrockworks front bumper to mount some rearward facing rock lights in the recess behind the bumper.

If you have a specific question I will try to answer.

There is no problem drilling into the bumper, just add some paint into the holes (Q-tip) when done. The lisc. plate would need some trimming or to go behind the fairlead slightly to fit between the recovery tab and fairlead. It is one of the places I tried to fit it when designing this.

I don't believe the steel used in their bumpers is anything special (e.g. not heat treated or that high of a grade), so would think a regular metal drilling bit would work.
