Question Rear visibility with tire carrier?

For those who have added a rear tire carrier, how is the visibility? Does the tire largely obscure the rearview mirror's field of vision?

You mean more than the rear headrests and wiper motor do?

I don't have one but I have read that the rear view is pretty well shot once you add a carrier and a bigger spare.

It's a Jeep! All I see in my rearview mirror is dust.

Visibility? Sure, I can read the tire make and size on the side walls perfectly

You lose alot of the view, as compared to the stock set up. The tire sits higher for the departure angle and as result you lose vision. I can see over the top ( about a 1/4 of the window) and see a car 2 cars lengths back. But when they are closer I look the the "holes" in the mounted rime to see if their right behind me. Not crazy about it, but if you get one that's what you're going to deal with no matter what you buy.
