Hydraulic or Gas Twin Tube ? Mono Tube?
Hello all
I'm getting ready to make the purchase on my lift kit for my 07 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited and doing my pre-purchase research I see several different options as far as shocks (dampers) go. One of the options on a kit i'm looking at is the Rubicon Express Gas charged monotube design. Full traction has this option also. Other brands, such as Skyjacker and Black Diamond also offer a twin tube hydro shock, with twin tube gas charged as an option.
I want a shock thats going to allow me to give me a ride thats not too soft, but at the same time not give me a ride that resembled a M1 Abrahms tank. I also want to increase my control when the overall height goes up. Is mono-tube my best bet or is that only necessary if doing major offroading. My offroading will consist of rural virginia trails, and beach buggy duty mostly, may try my hand at some light-duty rock crawling also. Thanks.
