Default Hi lift jack mounted to tow hooks

I have seen JK's with Hi Lift Jacks mounted to the front tow hooks, how is this done. Are you guys just drilling holes and bolting it on. Also does mounting it to the tow hooks weaken them. Any Pics. Thanks

I have mine mounted to the front tow hooks. bolted with grade 8 bolts, wingnuts and a clip to keep the wingnuts from backing out.

drilled through the top flat part of the tow hook, it does not weaken them. but I recommend taking the time to remove the plastick bumper cover. unbolt the towhooks, and use a drill press. I did mine while still attached with a hand drill and it took several hours and two very tired and sore arms to get it done. oh and 4 drill bits

no just attach a shackle to the tow hook if I had to. but I have never had to use the front tow hooks. the couple times I have gotten stuck (2) I needed to be pulled off from the rear(no pun intended) besides this set up is only temp until I get new a/m front and rear bumpers. I would rather have it on the outside of the vehicle than on the inside where my children, wife or I could get hurt by it in an accident
