Rough Country 4"
I apologize if this has been discussed but its sometimes hard to search when you cant search small words like 4" or RC.
How is this lift?
I currently have the RC2.5" with stock shocks. I wanna get taller. BUT!!! I dont want to be having to buy a ton of other stuff because my angles and stuff are off.
Am I safe with the RC4"? I do some pretty hard wheeling and only have about $700 so the RC4" and some wheel spacer would be nice.
Anyone around here run it? Hard Wheel it? Does it hold up well? I do use it as a daily driver but not very many miles at all.
I am running 315/75/16's right now which are 35's and they rub on my 2.5"
Thanks for the help.

i've installed one and can tell you that it is a good lift. if toad is on here, she has it on her JK now and she pretty much goes anywhere i do. i will say one thing though, if you do get this lift, you should try and pick up a set of adjustable lower front control arms and use them to dial in your caster as opposed to using the cam bolts that come with the kit. also, being that you have a 2-door, you will need to start thinking about a new rear u-joint style drive shaft and that will require adjustable rear upper arms as well so that you can set your pinion angle. and, if you have an automatic, you will need to think about getting a new front u-joint style drive shaft as well as your factory one will get the spline shaft boot torn off in a real hurry.

So what is the minimum amount of stuff I will need to acquire for a 4 " lift?
I have a 2 door Manual trans X model.
Does RC sell most of the extra stuff i will need?
I'm wondering if I should just get a 2" Body lift and some better shocks for my 2.5"?

with your jeep, i would say the bare minimum is to just get their kit and go. however, if you find that the wandering you will feel in your 2-door is more than you would prefer, i would recommend that you get a set of adjustable front control arms to give you more positive caster. this is not a requirement but it will help make your jeep drive better on the highway. as far as your rear driveshaft goes, it will not fail all at once but the constant pinch that will be placed on the CV boots will compromise them sooner than later and that will ultimately cause them to fail as well. if anything, you should consider getting a set of adjustable rear upper control arms and a 1310 drive shaft. toad picked up a set of control arms and teraflex and i think the pricing on them was quite reasonable.

WOL, as far as the 1310 DS are you referring more specifically to the 1310 HD version or can the 1310 OEM replacement (JE or Woods) suffice...I believe the 1310 OEM version bolts on the the existing flange/yokes, but I am not sure if they are the u-joint style...Thanks...
