All metal home made front bumper
I dont like to buy anything if there is even a remote chance that I could build it my self. As my wife says I am a tight ass.
That beinng said I decided to try and build my own all metal front bumper. Here are the results of my labor. Let me know what you think. I tried to leeve room for a winch in the future as well as some sort of tubular grill guard/fairlead mount. Going to have to save up some more frog skin's $$$ before I can aford a new winch.

Nice - my only concern would be that you took a tow hook designed and configured to be pulled braced in shear, and mounted it in tension.
That means the the top two tow hook bolts are taking the brunt of any pull....with the bottom two bolts merely acting as pivot points.....IE: Its not braced to its best advantage, and, I HOPE that you took this into account, and upgraded the hook mount hardware with larger diameter grade 8 bolts, nuts and washers, with a backing plate to help prevent bowing/pullout, etc.
Please tell me you did that/plan to?
Please?

Plan B - Just flip them over 90 degrees so they are in shear again (Like the stock mount position, etc....

It really does have a nice, finished look-- nice job!
