Avenger Supercharger
Check out the Day 4 pics from SEMA, and look for the pictures of the Avenger supercharger. I need a bib after checking out those pics. Looks as though they had to notch the hood a little to get it to fit, but the power increase is well worth the modification.
I hope we'l get some more info on that supercharger soon, such as how many pounds of boost they're running, dyno HP levels, requirement for premium gas, any additional engine mods required for installation, cost of the kit?
If memory serves, the compression ratio of this 3.8L V6 was only 9.6 or so. That should leave quite a bit of room for boost if the timing is retarded to prevent detonation.

Agreed.. A supercharger is greatly neede for this anemic powerplant..
There will be plenty of options in 6 months..My guess would be about 5 psi of boost, near 75hp/tq increase, and cost around 4 grand for a full kit without install..
The great thing about a properly tuned supercharger is that you don't know it's there until you want the power..
I will be watching intently for updates on this..As it will be a necessary upgrade for my 2 door JK
