4:10's with 35's is ok on flat land for me, but once I get into the mountains I wish I had 4:88's or 5:13s.

Default 35's and 4:10's

I am running 35's, 4:10's, Auto, 2 door and for the most part it is just fine, and i am getting great gas mileage around 21mpg highway. the only part so far I am not liking is steep down hill it does not hold you back hardly at all so it takes a bit of braking. if I remember right the RPM's are around 2k at 60 and 65. I see lower gears in my future but for now it is fine.

X2 on that Toad!

It will work fine. My freeway gas millage went from 21 to 18 though....this is without a recalibration of the spedo though. So it still may be getting 21 but not sure.

21mpg? HUH? With 35's???? I have 4.10's and 35's, I keep the overdrive off and run about 2800 rpms at 65mph by the speedo which is off. Overdrive on is gonna bog it to about 1800rpms. I get 13.5 to 14.5 city/ highway doesn't matter. You musta put one of those hydrogenfluxcapacitorthingamabobs on to be gettin 18 or 21mpg with 35's

Thats about what we get with our 6spd. Although my wife does have a lead foot and her commute is mostly hills.

Yes I also have the 4:10 gears and 35" tires.
I seem to have no problems around here and some of the hills here are around 8% climb.
Yes its better on the flats and has good pick up,but on the hills NO way would you be able to pass anyone, but I really have no problems.
I did install the K&N Cold Air Intake and that solved the lag in each gear,BIG difference, really they say 8 to 10hp well not sure but feels more to me,still not a rocket.

I'm very happy with the 4:10 gears and 35" tires

I had 4.10's and 35's with an automatic for about 3 months. Starting from stop was ok and driving on flat terrain was good. The slightest rise on the freeway and it would kick out of overdrive and was a real pain. This also made the transmission work hard shifting back and forth. My gas mileage also went down to about 13.5 mpg with my speedo adjusted with the AccuPro. I changed to to 5.13's last month and what a difference. Good power through the gears and the transmission holds in overdrive like I would expect. Gas mileage went up to about 17 mpg with AccuPro adjustment. I think I am still off a little on my MPH, something I will work with the AccuPro. Some examples of my approximate speed and RPM in overdrive are:
40 mph - 1400 RPM
50 mph - 1750 RPM
60 mph - 2100 RPM

Overdrive off:
40 mph - 2000 RPM
50 mph - 2600 RPM
60 mph - 3000 RPM

Hope this helps.
